Roddy Ricch Releases Long-Awaited Sophomore Album 'Live Life Fast'

After dropping "Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial" in 2019, Roddy Ricch has officially released his second studio album "Live Life Fast".

The 23 year old artist has previously won a Grammy for "Racks in the middle", his 2019 collaboration with Nipsey Hussle and Hitboy as well as 'The Box' topping the US charts for 11 consecutive weeks. He has also received Grammy's since then for appearing on Kanye West's "Donda" track "Pure souls". With all this overwhelming success it seems like the young artist wanted to slow things down on his new album 'Live Life Fast'.

Ricch first announced the drop of this album on Instagram saying "livelifefast 12/17 spread the word". Alongside the album's cover art, which shows him driving in a vibrant yellow coat. He has also included previous releases "Late at night" followed by his collaboration with Lil Wayne and Birdman "Stunnaman" in this album.

The 18 track project was filled with various artists such as Future, Kodak Black, 21 Savage, Takeoff, Jamie Foxx, Ty Dolla Sign, Alex Isley, Fivio Foreign, Lil Baby and Gunna. The Album starts of with a slow pace with track "IIf" over a melancholic piano notes and angelic choir to ending withy an upbeat, high-tempo song named "25 million". When experimenting with the melody and telling stories, Roddy Richh is at his best.

Earlier this year, in a complex interview Roddy Ricch said "with my next project, I'm going to be more vulnerable" which he managed to do in songs like "Man Made" where he speaks on taking advice from his grandmother to even opening up about his depression in "Crash The Party". The Compton rapper speaks on themes of success and failure throughout the album giving listeners a closer connection to the artist. In the song, "IIf" he talks about the importance of spending our days wisely, "Time is the most expensive luxury in the world, It's something you spend and never get back".We see the artist's growth in the last 2 years, speaking on more sensitive topics.

Overall , "Live Life Fast' demonstrates Roddy Ricch growth in the last 2 years given us a more personal side to him.He drops a lot of gems on the fact that success is a double-edged sword.
